Yokohama Country Club
Yokohama Country Club is a 36-hole championship facility comprising the East and West Courses, founded in 1960 by architect Takeo Aiyama. Located roughly 40 minutes from central Tokyo, the club is regarded as one of Japan's premier golf destinations.
The West Course underwent a significant redesign in 2015 by renowned architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, adding elevation to tees and fairways and enhancing the course's natural undulations. Yokohama Country Club has hosted major professional tournaments including the 1978 and 2018 Japan Open, as well as the Japan Women's Open.
